Valley of Shadows
-Immunity-

The meteor shower ..never ceased. The skies, illuminated by the flaming rock that pelts the Earths crust relentlessly is like a rain of fire. These masses of meteorite have had ever lasting effects world wide. The Earth has since began to quiver under our feet, and earthquakes are becoming a daily event. Slowly, but surely, over nearly a thousand years, the place we once called home is now eternally different and always changing. The exotic minerals that broke up during the descent of the meteors patterns the region so densely that it changed the atmosphere as we once knew it, releasing heavy gases that our lungs could not handle properly, and they flow to the lower altitudes and pool in a coiling mist. With these toxic fumes, came a change in the earths temperature and vegetation. With these effects came disease. And with the diseases, came a new type of evolution.

The entire Earth is afflicted and decaying, and with it- our flesh. For nearly a thousand years, the flesh-eating disease has been partially stripping off the hide of the low landers, also referred to as the infected. Some of us remain on high ground, above the heavy smog and are unaffected by this epidemic, however each journey we make, we risk hide and hair- quite literally.

Please remember, and take in to consideration- nothing stops the migration from high to low and vise versa. The diseased walk among the pure, and the pure with the diseased. Luckily, once effected, you rarely can spread the disease yourself.. unless of course through bodily fluids and heavy petting. By now, you are probably wanting to know more about the high landers. What about these equines who inhabit the higher altitude hillsides and rockies? Well, the smog does not effect these lucky few directly on a day to day basis, however this makes them more susceptible to damage when they do journey in to lower altitudes. The longer periods of time spent in toxic regions, the more likely you are to contract the disease. It is in the air.. it is in the dew on the grass, and it is.. in the water. Protect yourself, and those you love. Keep them close.. but not too close. You never know which of the physically-appearing pure is a genetic carrier.. of the disease.

Miracle of Life

As some of you may know, I am pregnant and due in the beginning of March! My husband and I had several cases of bad luck leading up to this miracle, with two miscarriages and a year of trying to conceive but we fought through it and kept our chins high. I am 6 months along now, and everything is going great as far as it goes with the pregnancy. No complications and it couldn't be more amazing- especially when you feel the lil babe moving inside, kicking and rolling over, and reacting to things you do. We will not be finding out the gender until the baby is in our arms, so that makes it even more exciting.

**Are there any other mothers, or mothers to be out there?
If so, let me know your story and how things are going!

**What would you like to see updated in the future in regards of the pregnancy?
